I had the single speaker type, it was working in young barking dogs. This works as well. I hold it close to my ear, it seems like it is louder than the single speaker one. If the dog is at mid age or older they dont react too much. This is the same, if the dog trusts you. It always muted a barking dog, that is for sure.
